It’s been a while…

It certainly has been some time since I’ve been able to sit and type up a blog post, so apologies to anyone who hangs off my every word! (I know that’s none of you!)

Like everyone else, the increase in the cost of living meant some changes had to be made around here. I’m no longer a full-time soap maker (wah!) and am back working a “real” job. Sad, yes….but thankfully I love it and actually look forward to going to work. It’s also great that work is less than 1km from my front door, so I can hardly complain!

Working, of course, leaves less time for soap making, and even less time than that for website and social media things, hence my lack of online presence of late. I’m also mindful that my customers are most likely having to make changes to their own budgets, so sales will be down for a while. I figured now was the perfect time to slow things down a little.

On top of that, we’re in the throes of owner building a house…and while that’s exciting, it’s incredibly time consuming. Sometimes I feel it would be quicker and easier to build the damn thing myself than it is to find tradies who are available, and willing to travel less than 200km from Perth to do a job!

But fear not! I’m not going anywhere, so when that need for self-care and pampering hits you, you can still get your hands on (in my humble opinion) the best soap around…and it’s still at what I hope is an affordable price. And who knows….maybe I’ll win lotto and be able to go back to being a soap-maker full-time! (Not holding my breath on that one, lol.)
